Wow, after watching her on the latest season of Boston Legal (and apparently Dirt, but I don't remember her on that) I honestly couldn't stop myself from making a Tara Summers wall. :D
She is SO beautiful, how could I not? I just really hope that she doesn't disappear like all of their other guest stars... :( *misses Julie Bowen*

oh no! Check it out guys, my icons have been put up at ugly_icons. Honestly, I'm a little more insulted that 50% keep on thinking I'm a girl. I'm really surprised at how many of the comments were actually compliments. Also that some knew of me! Wow! I didn't know anyone knew of me. How come on nobody comments on my posts, then :(

So overall, I think being nominated there was... a good thing? It's not often you hear people talk openly about your icons, positively or negatively. Usually there's just a "thanks", if anything at all.

What I liked best was that there were people who'd say something like "I usually like [his] icons, but these are way over the top". That shows to me, that they usually understand what I was going for with my icons, but in this case I was doing the wrong thing. You know, like... it wasn't them having bad taste, but rather me having bad taste. And now I know not to do that again. Huzzah!

I'm pretty happy with it, it's much better than the dodgey Zach Braff wall I made him for Christmas. I only wish that her right cheek matched tone-wise with her left cheek a little more and I'd done something interesting with textures or something...

Hey all, I'm SO bored. I really want to art, but I'm on dads computer and the screen colours are all wonky and nothing I make looks good at all because of it. Also I want to listen to Britney's music while I do it, which... apparently I like now?

Now, I have this awesome Fray/Buffy wall I made last week to share. I wish it had a tad more contrast, but other than that I really like it.

For all of you out there who have yet to experience Fray, go out and buy it right now. I guarantee it'll be the best comic you ever read.

Well, actually I don't. I haven't really read many comics before (basically just all the ones Joss's written) but so far it's my favourite series.

Okay, so I've gone from a simple basic lj account on Monday to a paid account with 100 icon slots on Thursday.

:o oh my god, harbourlight bought me 70 more icon slots! How awesome! What a broad, eh? Not only that, but she's been helping me with my moodtheme. Oh, and can I just say... dayum! Why are there so many moods? I don't know about you, but I know that personally I only experience about 5 of them.

Speaking of which, can anybody think of a good scene that best represents 'okay'? For 'blah' I've got Hermes on Futurama with a brainslug attached to his head. Come on, that scene practically screams blah. Now, I need your help looking for a scene that practically screams 'okay'.

In other news, I put my pants in the wash with all of my regular pocket-ey stuff in them. That means my notebook will be mashed to shreds, my mobile is gonna be broken, the pen will leak ink onto all of my very very white clothes for work and... my keys will be wet. Luckily the most expensive thing I usually keep in my pockets wasn't in them: my mp3. It's pretty tragic, especially because we can't stop the machine from running to take the phone and notebook out to see if they're alright, because it's not designed to open once it has started :(

UPDATE: Through much careful excavation I managed to retrieve my notebook. The pen didn't leak, surprise surprise. I actually left my keys in my other pants :P
Oh, and my mobile is comepletely sopping but we realised that so was my brothers when he put it through the wash and several months later it's perfectly fine. All in all... no physical harm whatsoever, but a little emotional trauma. Nothing a little Phun won't fix :)

I made this cos I needed a new wallpaper and Kristen rocks. I'm really happy with the colouring. I'm not too sure how I feel about the background textures, or the red blob... I think as a whole everything is all just a little too simple.

In other news... go watch Boston Legal! It rules so much and I need other people to obsess with! I made bostonlegalicon because I can't find any boston legal icon communities on livejournal, how sad is that. And I want it to be an equally as accepted fandom as Supernatural or Lost. It really deserves to be, it's amazing.

Okay, and yes, for now the layout sucks, but I'll hopefully try and get something better up by tonight. :)

Hey all. Just thought I'd pimp jossverse_lims, because I'm really excited about it.

I'm really excited about it because this is my first lims ever and I can't wait to see how it plays out. I'm a bit disappointed cos I posted three rather sucky icons this week, but I've got a crazy headache and the deadline draws near. Say, you know what you should do? Join. There's still a couple of days left to join and enter and I want someone I know to compete against and I don't know anyone there. :(

Oh, and it's so awesome to think that in just a few months Dollhouse is going to be considered 'Jossverse' :D

And in TV news...

-Boston Legal is rocking my socks. I'm only mid-season 2, but I love it so much more than everything else ever. Seriously, go watch it. When I first saw it I thought it looked terrible, but it is so amazing!

-Didn't love the latest himym, but I did love Robin/Barney. I've been wanting Rarney (Bobin?) since season 1!

-ANTM cycle 10 is killing me. In a totally awesome way. I am so obsessed with it, it's not funny. I need more!

-Samantha Who continues to grow on me... I'm not sure how I feel about that...

-I hate to admit it, but BSG is definitely getting good again. I thought it'd be all downhill since mid-season-two, but they're definitely picking up their game. That final scene with the sexy Indian cylon gave me chills. Awesome :D

-If Dirt toned down their swearing and I had HQ avis, I'd be totally obsessing. But they won't and I don't, so I'm not.

-I checked out the Ellen Page and Tina Fey episodes of SNL. It's a very American show which scared me at first. Scared me a lot. But I noticed that their comedy is very hit or miss, and I've never really had a situation when that term could be appropriately used, but it definitely works for SNL. Either their jokes are amazing and they kill you with their hilarity, or... they're not. They're boring and terrible, instead. It's interesting because I found that they had very little inbetween.

I was bored so I composited all of the screencaps from the latest antm into this...

I honestly can't decide whether I prefer it with or without the colours. The black and white seems like such a boring way out for if you don't like the colouring. Although on the other hand... I don't like the colouring :P

I was thinking I could do something similar to the colouring on this icon, but it's fun to keep things fresh... isn't it?

Good news guys, I've broken my rut!

After submitting that horrible horrible icon to icon_crack I submitted an absolutely incredible icon to firefly_rumble . (and what's the bet they won't vote for it :P)

"Wow, how the heck did that happen" you ask. Well, the answer is simple. As far as I'm concerned, the trick to true iconing is to not get stuck in a rut. I had been doing a very very boring routine for every icon I made and that led to boring icons. I broke that, tried something new and different and it turned out amazingly. Seriously guys, go check out the submissions at the next firefly_rumble voting thing.

I'm up to the latest episode of Supernatural 'Jus In Bello'. I'm really very impressed with this season. Very very impressed. I just wanna see more Ruby :D

Also I'd like to see a couple of their previously proposed ideas get expanded on. For example the concept that Sam can control people and stuff. We saw whatsherface get the power to do that last season... why isn't he even trying to get abilies? Also, why aren't there a million more demons than ever before? Did opening the door to hell do nothing?

I think that the writers are focusing a little too much on Dean's one year to live and not enough on their other storylines.

I promised to always post some form of art with every post I make here and I've been laying off on the wallpapering and iconing lately, so here's a texture I made! :D

I'm really happy with it. it was easy to make and it makes pictures look better when set to soft light. Exactly what a texture should be :)

yo all, check out this (sneakily spoilerific) Toshiko icon I made.

I don't have the energy to make a whole wallpaper. I took like and hour to make and perfect the icon, then realised that the contrast and brightness on my monitor were turned waaay down. So I had to do it all again :(

I've been trying to analyse all of my saved icons and figure out what makes them tick and I have absolutely no idea. What is it about a good icon that makes it good? The imperfections? The subtleties? Those awesome light blobs?

If you have the answers, please comment and let me know because I need them.

oh, also I also made this...

I made it for 'Raven'. I like it, but I've been browsing around amazing icon communities and now it seems incredibly uninspired. No matter how hard you try there's always someone better and right now I hate that.

I shall now proceed to watch the next episode of Supernatural. :)
